Privacy Policy

1. Overview

PUB-Gamba ("the bot", "we", "us") is a Discord bot that provides play-currency betting for pickup game communities. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we handle it.

2. Data We Collect

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

Message content (we only read specific bot command messages and monitored 6mans bot messages)
Direct messages
Voice chat data
Email addresses (unless provided via Discord OAuth2 login to the admin panel)
Payment information (handled entirely by Stripe if you subscribe to premium)
IP addresses (not stored; used transiently for rate limiting only)

4. Admin Panel (Web Dashboard)

If you log in to the web admin panel via Discord OAuth2, we additionally process:

Discord OAuth2 token — used once to identify you, then immediately revoked. We do not store your Discord access token.
Avatar URL — displayed in the admin panel sidebar during your session only.
Session cookie — encrypted, HTTP-only, expires after 24 hours.

5. How We Use Your Data

Provide and operate the betting system (placing bets, resolving matches, maintaining balances)
Display leaderboards, statistics, and achievement progress
Administer servers via the web admin panel
Detect and prevent abuse (rate limiting, ban enforcement)

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties. We do not use your data for advertising or profiling.

6. Data Storage & Security

All data is stored in an SQLite database on a secured VPS.
Data is fully isolated per Discord server — no cross-server data access.
The admin panel uses CSRF protection, rate limiting, and security headers.
Database connections use WAL mode for safe concurrent access.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

Automatic

When the bot is removed from a server, the guild is soft-deleted. Data is retained for 30 days in case of re-addition, then permanently deleted.

On Request

You can delete your data at any time using Discord commands:

/deletedata scope:guild — Delete your data from the current server.
/deletedata scope:all — Delete your data from all servers.

Server administrators can also export individual user data (JSON or CSV) from the admin panel for GDPR Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs).

8. Third-Party Services

Discord — We interact with the Discord API to operate the bot and OAuth2 login. Discord's Privacy Policy
Top.gg — If you vote for our bot on Top.gg, they send us your Discord user ID via webhook so we can credit your vote reward. Top.gg's Privacy Policy
Stripe — If you purchase a premium subscription, payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe's Privacy Policy

9. Children's Privacy

PUB-Gamba is not intended for users under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction as required by Discord). We do not knowingly collect data from children under this age. If we learn we have collected such data, we will delete it promptly.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

Access your personal data (use /deletedata or request an export via the admin panel)
Rectify inaccurate data
Delete your data (see Section 7)
Object to processing
Data portability (JSON/CSV export available)

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be noted by updating the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be announced in our Discord support server.
